[bug-gnutrition] Reimplement in C, GSoC 2012

Hello!

My name is Bogdan and I am from Bucharest, Romania. I am an undergraduate
student in the second year at University Politehnica of Bucharest.
I reviewed the idea of rewriting the python code in C, and I found it
interesting and challanging. After a quick look after the python sources I
believe i am up to this project. I would like to apply for GSoC in your
organisation.
What should it be the next step I should make?
